About 71 percent of the 472 degrees and certificates handed out by the Huertas College in 2016-17 were to students in Health Professions and Related Programs programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.
The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private for-profit institution in Caguas conferred 194 associate's degrees and 99 bachelor's degrees in Health Professions and Related Programs programs.
But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse. Data shows the school gave out 73 bachelor's degrees in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse, followed by 67 associate's degrees in Pharmacy Technician/Assistant and 58 associate's degrees in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse.
The college enrolled 902 students for 2016-17, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
