About 60.9 percent of the 453 degrees and certificates handed out by the Inter American University of Puerto Rico-Barranquitas in 2016-17 were to students in Health Professions and Related Programs programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.
The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Barranquitas conferred 129 bachelor's degrees and 96 associate's degrees in Health Professions and Related Programs programs.
But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse. Data shows the school gave out 86 bachelor's degrees in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse, followed by 55 associate's degrees in Medical Radiologic Technology/Science - Radiation Therapist and 43 bachelor's degrees in Radiologic Technology/Science - Radiographer.
The university enrolled 1,976 students for 2016-17, including 1,902 in undergraduate programs and 74 in graduate programs.
