Graduates earn 2,735 degrees, certificates from Universidad Metropolitana

About 38.8 percent of the 2,735 degrees and certificates handed out by the Universidad Metropolitana in 2016-17 were to students in Health Professions and Related Programs programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Juan conferred 502 bachelor's degrees and 343 certificates in Health Professions and Related Programs programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse. Data shows the school gave out 410 bachelor's degrees in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse, followed by 128 bachelor's degrees in Business Administration and Management, General and 105 certificates in Pharmacy Technician/Assistant.

The universidad enrolled 13,636 students for 2016-17, including 11,231 in undergraduate programs and 2,405 in graduate programs.
