About 28.5 percent of the 172 degrees and certificates handed out by the University of Puerto Rico-Utuado in 2016-17 were to students in Agriculture, Agriculture Operations, and Related Sciences programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.
The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Utuado conferred 49 associate's degrees in Agriculture, Agriculture Operations, and Related Sciences programs.
But the single most popular program was for a associate's degree in Social Sciences, General. Data shows the school gave out 27 associate's degrees in Social Sciences, General, followed by 24 associate's degrees in Natural Sciences and 19 bachelor's degrees in Executive Assistant/Executive Secretary.
The university enrolled 1,469 students for 2016-17, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
