Graduates earn 6,068 degrees, certificates from University of Arkansas

About 23.2 percent of the 6,068 degrees and certificates handed out by the University of Arkansas in 2016-17 were to students in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Fayetteville conferred 1161 bachelor's degrees and 226 master's degrees in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse. Data shows the school gave out 297 bachelor's degrees in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse, followed by 270 bachelor's degrees in Finance, General and 256 bachelor's degrees in Marketing/Marketing Management, General.

The university enrolled 27,194 students for 2016-17, including 22,548 in undergraduate programs and 4,646 in graduate programs.
