Graduates earn 381 degrees from University of Pikeville

About 42.3 percent of the 381 degrees and certificates handed out by the University of Pikeville in 2016-17 were to students in Health Professions and Related Programs programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Pikeville conferred 128 doctor's degrees and 25 associate's degrees in Health Professions and Related Programs programs.

But the single most popular program was for a doctor's degree in Osteopathic Medicine/Osteopathy. Data shows the school gave out 128 doctor's degrees in Osteopathic Medicine/Osteopathy, followed by 37 bachelor's degrees in Business Administration and Management, General and 32 bachelor's degrees in Biology/Biological Sciences, General.

The university enrolled 2,365 students for 2016-17, including 1,658 in undergraduate programs and 707 in graduate programs.
