About 26.9 percent of the 521 degrees and certificates handed out by the University of Evansville in 2016-17 were to students in Health Professions and Related Programs programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.
The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Evansville conferred 60 bachelor's degrees and 44 doctor's degrees in Health Professions and Related Programs programs.
But the single most popular program was for a doctor's degree in Physical Therapy/Therapist. Data shows the school gave out 44 doctor's degrees in Physical Therapy/Therapist, followed by 41 bachelor's degrees in Kinesiology and Exercise Science and 26 bachelor's degrees in Mechanical Engineering.
The university enrolled 2,414 students for 2016-17, including 2,248 in undergraduate programs and 166 in graduate programs.
