About 23.9 percent of the 276 degrees and certificates handed out by the Beloit College in 2016-17 were to students in Social Sciences programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.
The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Beloit conferred 66 bachelor's degrees in Social Sciences programs.
But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in Science, Technology and Society. Data shows the school gave out 28 bachelor's degrees in Science, Technology and Society, followed by 17 bachelor's degrees in Anthropology and 16 bachelor's degrees in Political Science and Government, General.
The college enrolled 1,394 students for 2016-17, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
