About 32 percent of the 1,304 degrees and certificates handed out by the Ashland University in 2016-17 were to students in Education programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.
The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Ashland conferred 268 master's degrees and 144 bachelor's degrees in Education programs.
But the single most popular program was for a master's degree in Business Administration and Management, General. Data shows the school gave out 183 master's degrees in Business Administration and Management, General, followed by 135 bachelor's degrees in Nursing Practice and 113 master's degrees in Curriculum and Instruction.
The university enrolled 6,579 students for 2016-17, including 4,814 in undergraduate programs and 1,765 in graduate programs.
