Graduates earn 215 degrees, certificates from Caribbean University-Bayamon

About 39.1 percent of the 215 degrees and certificates handed out by the Caribbean University-Bayamon in 2016-17 were to students in Health Professions and Related Programs programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Bayamon conferred 47 bachelor's degrees and 24 master's degrees in Health Professions and Related Programs programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in Practical Nursing, Vocational Nursing and Nursing Assistants, Other. Data shows the school gave out 23 bachelor's degrees in Practical Nursing, Vocational Nursing and Nursing Assistants, Other, followed by 18 bachelor's degrees in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant and 17 master's degrees in Geriatric Nurse/Nursing.

The university enrolled 1,663 students for 2016-17, including 1,387 in undergraduate programs and 276 in graduate programs.
