About 54.4 percent of the 421 degrees and certificates handed out by the Universal Technology College of Puerto Rico in 2016-17 were to students in Health Professions and Related Programs programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.
The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Aguadilla conferred 80 associate's degrees and 78 certificates in Health Professions and Related Programs programs.
But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in Nursing Science. Data shows the school gave out 71 bachelor's degrees in Nursing Science, followed by 66 associate's degrees in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse and 42 certificates in Nursing Practice.
The college enrolled 371 students for 2016-17, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
