Graduates earn 2,331 degrees, certificates from University of Puerto Rico-Rio Piedras

About 15.1 percent of the 2,331 degrees and certificates handed out by the University of Puerto Rico-Rio Piedras in 2016-17 were to students in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Juan conferred 298 bachelor's degrees and 51 master's degrees in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in Biology/Biological Sciences, General. Data shows the school gave out 193 bachelor's degrees in Biology/Biological Sciences, General, followed by 176 doctor's degrees in Law and 163 bachelor's degrees in Psychology, General.

The university enrolled 16,872 students for 2016-17, including 13,472 in undergraduate programs and 3,400 in graduate programs.
