About 23.6 percent of the 9,226 degrees and certificates handed out by the George Washington University in 2016-17 were to students in Health Professions and Related Programs programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.
The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Washington conferred 911 master's degrees and 507 certificates in Health Professions and Related Programs programs.
But the single most popular program was for a doctor's degree in Law. Data shows the school gave out 616 doctor's degrees in Law, followed by 469 bachelor's degrees in International Relations and Affairs and 388 master's degrees in International Relations and Affairs.
The university enrolled 27,159 students for 2016-17, including 11,504 in undergraduate programs and 15,655 in graduate programs.
