Cost of college was unchanged for all students at Universidad Politecnica de Puerto Rico

Tuition and fees was unchanged for 2017-18 at Universidad Politecnica de Puerto Rico, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

Puerto Rico students paid $8,328 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution in both the 2016-17 and 2017-18 academic years.

Data shows 89 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 268 students received grants or scholarships totaling $1.37 million and 114 students took out student loans totaling more than $401,344.

Including all undergraduates, 2,285 students used grants or scholarships totaling $3.34 million. Another 1,611 took out $3.52 million in federal student loans.
