Cost of college went up for all students at Bayamon Community College

Tuition and fees rose 1.6 percent for 2017-18 at Bayamon Community College, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

Puerto Rico students paid $6,700 to attend the private for-profit school this year $105 more than the $6,595 charged for 2016-17.

Data shows 93 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 13 students received grants or scholarships totaling $59,011.

Including all undergraduates, 263 students used grants or scholarships totaling $871,697.
