Cost of college went down for all students at Institute of Beauty Careers

Tuition and fees fell 2.5 percent for 2017-18 at Institute of Beauty Careers, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

Puerto Rico students paid $8,900 to attend the private for-profit school this year $225 less than the $9,125 charged for 2016-17.

Data shows 79 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 252 students received grants or scholarships totaling $1.33 million.

Including all undergraduates, 525 students used grants or scholarships totaling $1.55 million.
