Cost of college went up for all students at Tiffin University

Tuition and fees rose 3.8 percent for 2017-18 at Tiffin University, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

Ohio students paid $24,000 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year $875 more than the $23,125 charged for 2016-17.

Data shows 93 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 445 students received grants or scholarships totaling $6.28 million and 395 students took out student loans totaling more than $3.26 million.

Including all undergraduates, 1,916 students used grants or scholarships totaling $22.48 million. Another 1,751 took out $12.71 million in federal student loans.
