Cost of college went up for all students at CEM College-Humacao

Tuition and fees rose 3.2 percent for 2017-18 at CEM College-Humacao, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

Puerto Rico students paid $7,425 to attend the four-year private for-profit institution this year $230 more than the $7,195 charged for 2016-17.

Data shows 98 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 106 students received grants or scholarships totaling $593,057 and 5 students took out student loans totaling more than $14,550.

Including all undergraduates, 642 students used grants or scholarships totaling $3.16 million. Another 113 took out $310,428 in federal student loans.
