Cost of college was unchanged for all students at American University of Puerto Rico

Tuition and fees was unchanged for 2017-18 at American University of Puerto Rico, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

Puerto Rico students paid $5,811 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution in both the 2016-17 and 2017-18 academic years.

Data shows 97 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 105 students received grants or scholarships totaling $567,984.

Including all undergraduates, 598 students used grants or scholarships totaling $3 million. Another 107 took out $343,142 in federal student loans.
