Cost of college was unchanged for all students at Universidad del Este

Tuition and fees was unchanged for 2017-18 at Universidad del Este, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

Puerto Rico students paid $5,820 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution in both the 2016-17 and 2017-18 academic years.

Data shows 97 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 1,749 students received grants or scholarships totaling $9.18 million and 715 students took out student loans totaling more than $2.1 million.

Including all undergraduates, 10,006 students used grants or scholarships totaling $44.18 million. Another 6,555 took out $29.27 million in federal student loans.
