LAMAR UNIVERSITY: Southwest Chemical Association establishes scholarship

Lamar University issued the following announcement on June 22.

Future chemical engineering majors at Lamar University will benefit from the establishment of the Southwest Chemical Association Scholarship in Chemical Engineering at Lamar University.

Southwest Chemical Association is a not-for-profit petrochemical industry organization that was established in 1977 with the mission of supporting and developing the next generation of chemical engineers.

“The association’s longstanding relationship with the university is well represented through the new scholarship,” said T.C. Ho, chair and professor of chemical engineering.

“We are grateful for their support and continued commitment to supporting LU and students in the Dan F. Smith Department of Chemical Engineering.”
