American Sentinel University enrolls 1,421 undergrads

At American Sentinel University, 97 percent of undergraduate students are nontraditional students - age 25 or older - and 89 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private for-profit institution in Aurora enrolled 2,637 students in fall 2017, including 1,421 in undergraduate and 1,216 in graduate programs, data shows. 18.2 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (73 percent) and Black or African American (12 percent).
