58 percent of applicants to University of Denver were admitted for fall 2017

At University of Denver, 96 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 53 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Denver enrolled 11,434 students in fall 2017, including 5,765 in undergraduate and 5,669 in graduate programs, data shows. 3.2 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

32 percent of undergraduates are residents of Colorado, and 61 percent are residents of other states. 6 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (69 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (11 percent).

The school admitted 58 percent of the 19,904 students who applied for fall 2017. Of those who were admitted, 13 percent enrolled.
