Bethune-Cookman University enrolls 3,992 undergrads

At Bethune-Cookman University, 94 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 62 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Daytona Beach enrolled 4,143 students in fall 2017, including 3,992 in undergraduate and 151 in graduate programs, data shows. 3.3 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

70 percent of undergraduates are residents of Florida, and 28 percent are residents of other states. 1 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as Black or African American (78 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (3 percent).
