58 percent of applicants to Andrews University were admitted for fall 2017

At Andrews University, 89 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 55 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Berrien Springs enrolled 3,300 students in fall 2017, including 1,704 in undergraduate and 1,596 in graduate programs, data shows. 6.9 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

24 percent of undergraduates are residents of Michigan, and 68 percent are residents of other states. 8 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (29 percent) and Black or African American (18 percent).

The school admitted 58 percent of the 1,554 students who applied for fall 2017. Of those who were admitted, 31 percent enrolled.
