46 percent of applicants to Fordham University were admitted for fall 2017

At Fordham University, 94 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 58 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Bronx enrolled 16,037 students in fall 2017, including 9,599 in undergraduate and 6,438 in graduate programs, data shows. 3.6 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

35 percent of undergraduates are residents of New York, and 54 percent are residents of other states. 9 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (58 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (14 percent).

The school admitted 46 percent of the 45,147 students who applied for fall 2017. Of those who were admitted, 11 percent enrolled.
