At University of the District of Columbia, 51 percent of undergraduate students are nontraditional students - age 25 or older - and 57 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.
The four-year public institution in Washington enrolled 4,247 students in fall 2017, including 3,859 in undergraduate and 388 in graduate programs, data shows. 7.7 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.
83 percent of undergraduates are residents of District of Columbia, and 14 percent are residents of other states.
The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as Black or African American (59 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (11 percent).
