51 percent of applicants to Faulkner University were admitted for fall 2017

At Faulkner University, 58 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 60 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Montgomery enrolled 3,350 students in fall 2017, including 2,672 in undergraduate and 678 in graduate programs, data shows. 20.5 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

71 percent of undergraduates are residents of Alabama, and 25 percent are residents of other states. 4 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (48 percent) and Black or African American (43 percent).

The school admitted 51 percent of the 2,335 students who applied for fall 2017. Of those who were admitted, 28 percent enrolled.
