Independence University enrolls 8,278 undergrads

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Salt Lake City enrolled 8,605 students in fall 2017, including 8,278 in undergraduate and 327 in graduate programs, data shows. 0 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

1 percent of undergraduates are residents of Utah, and 96 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (24 percent) and Black or African American (16 percent).
