16 percent of applicants to Georgetown University were admitted for fall 2017

At Georgetown University, 94 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 56 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Washington enrolled 19,005 students in fall 2017, including 7,463 in undergraduate and 11,542 in graduate programs, data shows. 2.8 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

1 percent of undergraduates are residents of District of Columbia, and 89 percent are residents of other states. 10 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (53 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (10 percent).

The school admitted 16 percent of the 21,462 students who applied for fall 2017. Of those who were admitted, 47 percent enrolled.
