At Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico-Ponce, 90 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 60 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.
The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Ponce enrolled 7,381 students in fall 2017, including 5,405 in undergraduate and 1,976 in graduate programs, data shows. 4.8 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.
100 percent of undergraduates are residents of Puerto Rico.
The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as Hispanic or Latino (99 percent).
The school admitted 93 percent of the 2,555 students who applied for fall 2017. Of those who were admitted, 49 percent enrolled.
