47 percent of applicants to University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff were admitted for fall 2017

At University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, 89 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 59 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Pine Bluff enrolled 2,612 students in fall 2017, including 2,517 in undergraduate and 95 in graduate programs, data shows. 5 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

54 percent of undergraduates are residents of Arkansas, and 44 percent are residents of other states. 2 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as Black or African American (92 percent) and white (3 percent).

The school admitted 47 percent of the 4,393 students who applied for fall 2017. Of those who were admitted, 25 percent enrolled.
