89 percent of applicants to Utah State University were admitted for fall 2017

At Utah State University, 81 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 53 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Logan enrolled 27,679 students in fall 2017, including 24,618 in undergraduate and 3,061 in graduate programs, data shows. 6.4 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

71 percent of undergraduates are residents of Utah, and 27 percent are residents of other states. 1 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (83 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (6 percent).

The school admitted 89 percent of the 15,555 students who applied for fall 2017. Of those who were admitted, 31 percent enrolled.
