Athens State University enrolls 2,967 undergrads

At Athens State University, 64 percent of undergraduate students are nontraditional students - age 25 or older - and 67 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Athens enrolled 3,114 students in fall 2017, including 2,967 in undergraduate and 147 in graduate programs, data shows. 21 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (77 percent) and Black or African American (13 percent).
