67 percent of applicants to Grand Canyon University were admitted for fall 2017

At Grand Canyon University, 58 percent of undergraduate students are nontraditional students - age 25 or older - and 71 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private for-profit institution in Phoenix enrolled 83,284 students in fall 2017, including 49,556 in undergraduate and 33,728 in graduate programs, data shows. 24.3 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

31 percent of undergraduates are residents of Arizona, and 68 percent are residents of other states. 1 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (48 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (19 percent).

The school admitted 67 percent of the 32,734 students who applied for fall 2017. Of those who were admitted, 16 percent enrolled.
