71 percent of applicants to Lewis & Clark College were admitted for fall 2017

At Lewis & Clark College, 99 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 58 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Portland enrolled 3,339 students in fall 2017, including 2,106 in undergraduate and 1,233 in graduate programs, data shows. 1.8 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

11 percent of undergraduates are residents of Oregon, and 82 percent are residents of other states. 6 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (62 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (11 percent).

The school admitted 71 percent of the 6,305 students who applied for fall 2017. Of those who were admitted, 12 percent enrolled.
