83 percent of applicants to University of Oregon were admitted for fall 2017

At University of Oregon, 93 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 54 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Eugene enrolled 22,887 students in fall 2017, including 19,340 in undergraduate and 3,547 in graduate programs, data shows. 6.8 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

48 percent of undergraduates are residents of Oregon, and 45 percent are residents of other states. 8 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (58 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (12 percent).

The school admitted 83 percent of the 20,317 students who applied for fall 2017. Of those who were admitted, 23 percent enrolled.
