84 percent of applicants to Boise State University were admitted for fall 2017

At Boise State University, 78 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 56 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Boise enrolled 24,121 students in fall 2017, including 20,744 in undergraduate and 3,377 in graduate programs, data shows. 7.4 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

56 percent of undergraduates are residents of Idaho, and 42 percent are residents of other states. 1 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (73 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (13 percent).

The school admitted 84 percent of the 8,876 students who applied for fall 2017. Of those who were admitted, 37 percent enrolled.
