64 percent of applicants to University of Montevallo were admitted for fall 2017

At University of Montevallo, 91 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 67 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Montevallo enrolled 2,717 students in fall 2017, including 2,346 in undergraduate and 371 in graduate programs, data shows. 6.3 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

86 percent of undergraduates are residents of Alabama, and 13 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (68 percent) and Black or African American (16 percent).

The school admitted 64 percent of the 1,944 students who applied for fall 2017. Of those who were admitted, 39 percent enrolled.
