58 percent of applicants to Inter American University of Puerto Rico-Arecibo were admitted for fall 2017

At Inter American University of Puerto Rico-Arecibo, 81 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 61 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Arecibo enrolled 4,320 students in fall 2017, including 3,902 in undergraduate and 418 in graduate programs, data shows. 6.3 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

99 percent of undergraduates are residents of Puerto Rico, and 1 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as Hispanic or Latino (99 percent).

The school admitted 58 percent of the 1,609 students who applied for fall 2017. Of those who were admitted, 98 percent enrolled.
