University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences enrolls 646 undergrads

At University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, 50 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 82 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Little Rock enrolled 2,836 students in fall 2017, including 646 in undergraduate and 2,190 in graduate programs, data shows. 46.9 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (73 percent) and Black or African American (11 percent).
