50 percent of applicants to University of Central Florida were admitted for fall 2017

At University of Central Florida, 82 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 54 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Orlando enrolled 66,059 students in fall 2017, including 56,853 in undergraduate and 9,206 in graduate programs, data shows. 13.8 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

89 percent of undergraduates are residents of Florida, and 8 percent are residents of other states. 4 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (49 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (26 percent).

The school admitted 50 percent of the 37,693 students who applied for fall 2017. Of those who were admitted, 37 percent enrolled.
