2.5 percent of University of Oregon students played sports on university teams in 2016-2017

In 2016-2017, 2.5 percentage of University of Oregon students participated in collegiate sports, according to data made available by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES).

University of Oregon has 19,340 undergraduate students, of which 54 percent are women and 46 percent are men, and a total student body of 22,887 students. Of these students, 279 men and 282 women represented the school by participating in one or more of the sports with teams at the school.

This total does not include students playing intramural sports.

According to NCES, 4.3 percent of students enrolled at institutions of higher education with sports teams were on teams.

The sports at University of Oregon with the most participants are all track combined (189), football (111) and basketball (41).
