Lamar University President Kenneth Evans presented Plummer Awards to
eight students honored as the school's top graduates during the Dec. 11 and 12 commencement.
Maisie Sue Benoit, who earned a bachelor of science in Interdisciplinary Studies, served as a senator in the Lamar Student Government Association for the College of Education and Human Development.
Ciara Jordan Guilhas received a bachelor of science in Speech and Hearing Sciences. She has been on the dean’s list every semester.
Casey Lynn Myers, a member of the tennis team, earned a bachelor of arts in English.
Taylor Jeannene, a student teacher of the year nominee, received her bachelor of science in Interdisciplinary Studies.
Lauren Michelle Schuldt earned a bachelor of arts in English. She was on the president’s list every semester.
Cathy Wayman received a bachelor of science in Nursing.
Eusevio Antonio Saldivar, who earned a bachelor of science in Criminal Justice, wants to pursue a master’s degree and a law degree.
Brandon Paul Stacey, who earned the Janice Trammell Scholarship in Communications, completed a bachelor of science in Communication.
The Plummer Awards are named in honor of the late Otho Plummer, who was chairman emeritus of the Lamar board of regents and a longtime board member.
