Students from SCFCS excel in thespian competition

A.J. Cali and Kaitlyn Folsom, juniors at State College of Florida Collegiate School, represented Thespian Troupe 7937 at an annual competition hosted by the Florida State Thespians.

The hosting group is a chapter of the Education Theatre Association sponsored by the International Thespian Society. Cali and Folsom competed at the District 6 Thespian Competition, with Cali receiving an excellent rating and Folsom a superior rating.

Folsom will go on to compete in the state thespian competition in Tampa in March. She was also the Bradenton-area Idol winner this year.

Florida Thespian troupes exist throughout the state and represent excellence in theater and drama education. There are five ranking categories – superior, excellent, good, fair and poor.
