University of South Dakota staff member elected to HOSA office

South Dakota's adviser for HOSA-Future Health Professionals Brock Rops was recently elected chair-elect of the national organization.

Rops works at the Sioux Falls campus of the University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine as an education coordinator for the South Dakota Area Health Education Center.

HOSA, founded in 1976, aims to give motivation, inspiration and opportunities to secondary and post-secondary students who want to gain leadership skills and health care knowledge. Its membership exceeds 180,000 students in 3,700 chapters across the nation, including 534 high school students in 19 chapters in South Dakota.
