The Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) chapter from the University of Pikeville recently took part in the FBLA-PBL National Leadership Conference in Atlanta, where four of its students were recognized.

Adam Hall placed third in cost accounting, Jessica Frazier finished fifth in client service, Billy Cochran was ninth in impromptu speaking, and Zane Maheu placed 10th in personal finance.

ā€œI am extremely proud of this group," Lois Rogers, associate professor of accounting, said. "They always represent themselves, PBL and UPIKE in the most professional manner.ā€

Donald Anderson, James Brooks, Sara Hall, Nicole Hall, Chandra Hunley and Jarred Thacker are the other UPIKE students who competed during the event.

The mission of the PBL is to combine business and education to create a positive working relationship by using innovative leadership and programs in career development.
