The Mayer family, owners of Oscar Mayer, has donated a giant coin-shaped structure to Beloit College.

The artifact can currently be seen next to the Oscar Mayer plaque in the Mayer Hall lobby.

The coin-like structure was given to the college as a gift after Kraft made the announcement that it was shutting down its iconic weiner factory in Madison, Wisconsin at the end of 2015. Before being donated to the college, the structure could be seen in the building that housed the former Mayer Headquarters.

A shortened version of the company’s “plan for living” can be found on one side of the coin-shaped structure. On the other side is a sculpture of Mayer.

The college is encouraging its students to come by and see the artifact, and maybe sing the jingle.
