Based on a survey of institutions offering game design coursework and degrees in the United States, Canada, and a few other countries, the Princeton Review ranked Bradley University No. 15, making it the highest ranked school in Illinois.

Among the criteria designated to rank schools were academics, facilities, career services and technology.

The program began in 2010, made possible by the collaborative efforts of the Department of Interactive Media, the Department of Computer Science & Information Systems, and the Department of Art.

President Gary Roberts said the faculty are what make Bradley a success, complimenting the leaders within the program. He stated that the faculty and staff at Bradley are dedicated and innovative, allowing students to be creative thinkers. Assistant professor of game design Dr. Monica McGill said that the program is interdisciplinary, replicating the scenario of being a true game developer.

The Princeton Design also named Bradley University among its top 25 schools for Game Design last year, making it two years in a row for such prestigious accolades. The Princeton Review began the list of "Top Schools To Study Game Design" in 2009, assisted by a national advisory board that included administrators and faculty from several game design programs, as well as professionals from the top gaming companies.
