In the upcoming "Diplomacy Begins Here: Tulsa!" a Global Ties U.S. 2016 Regional Summit event, the University of Arkansas' interim head of special collections will be speaking about J. William Fullbright's legacy.
"The J. William Fulbright papers preserve not only the senator's accomplishments in diplomacy and foreign affairs, but his long-lasting vision to promote peace through the exchange of ideas and cultural experiences," Angela Fritz said.
Fullbright's academic exchange program, his commentary on Arkansas' political scene and the work he completed with the Senate Foreign Relations Committee are also available to researchers.
This gathering will be one of four regional summits being held nationwide. The meetings are focused on themes of leadership, global education and business development on an international level.
